I have a part time job teaching at Morgan State University. This is a picture of some of the student from my Physics 2 class in the spring semester 2016. In case you didn’t know, physics 2 is the intro physics course on electricity and magnetism. The basics of everything dealing with electromagnetic fields, light, circuits, etc. is taught in this class.
Morgan State is a HBCU, or historically black college or university. My students are very interesting. I like doing this because the students need to know that someone like me (black, male, scientist, not a total nerd) exists and they can do what I do if they want to. Also, it would be nice to have more people that look like them (and me) at my job or at places that are like my job.
